RiverKids’ response to COVID-19(Coronavirus)

During this time of uncertainty regarding the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, our commitment is to keep you as informed as possible to help make the best decisions for your family and our therapists. Because of our unique therapy services that are conducted one-on-one, our organization will remain open, and we are taking specific steps to help reduce the spread of the virus while continuing to serve our patients.

Each of our therapists are trained to use all standard precautions for reducing or eliminating the spread of any infection. At this time, our therapists will:

  • limit bringing any outside toys or materials to your home.
  • sanitize any items brought in to your home (such as testing supplies).
  • reschedule your visits if there is a chance of illness.
  • not require you to sign your therapist’s computer, tablet or smartphone until the spread of the virus is no longer a concern.
  • We are monitoring the CDC website as well as state agencies to provide the most up to date information to our families and therapists. At this time, it is suggested to avoid large crowds, practice proper handwashing, and stay home if you are feeling ill. If anyone in your home has a fever or is feeling ill, out of an abundance of caution, please contact your therapist and cancel your upcoming therapy session. With this, we feel confident in continuing services for you and your child and we will respect everyone’s right to make the decisions that are in the best interest of your family.

Thank you in advance as we navigate this challenging situation one day at a time.
