Information on the RiverKids Cyber Incident
On March 15th, 2022, RiverKids Home Health became aware that an individual gained unauthorized access to an
employee’s email account that may have exposed some patients’ personal information. The total number of families affected is still under review. We are in the process of notifying families directly.
Emails in the affected mailboxes may have included patient name, patient date of birth, patient address, and health insurance member ID. No social security numbers or payment information was compromised. RiverKids immediately initiated an internal review with our Information Technology team and has reported the incident to state and law enforcement agencies.
Additional security measures designed to protect employee email accounts have been deployed in response to this incident.
